Well, yet another year of travel ahead.

Towards the end of 2016, we had no travel plans at all for 2017, other than a tentative trip to the UK, so that Paula could dance in the world famous dance competition in Blackpool.  The inaugural ProAm section.  All was ticking over well until late November when her Pro partner accepted a (dance) teaching post in London.

Changing over to a new dance teacher Artur, was stepping into the unknown, as she hadn’t really met him before his arrival from Russia, but he has shown he has a great sense of humour as well as being a good teacher.  So, late January, when Artur confirmed he would dance with her - and Air NZ dropped their fares via Los Angeles, we booked the trip.  Whilst in the UK, as we had no other cruises planned, and as we really enjoyed the Baltics cruise a couple of years ago, we took the plunge and booked it again.

So, a 14 day cruise with Princess (of course) on the Crown Princess. Possibly not our favourite ship layout, but as we have just 3 days at sea, no big deal.  Unusually, we don’t know any of our fellow travellers, unlike our planned 2018 cruise, Auckland to Auckland round the world.

We may manage 1 day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of June (hey, I needed something too!).

At this stage,  February 2017, we haven’t ruled out a trip to Hawaii in October (for another dance event!) and maybe a repeat of the NCL 7 day Hawaiian cruise we did in 2007.

So, there may not be many posts until we set off, mid-May, but at least the blog has started.  If plans for Hawaii get inked in, it will get added on here.
