Day 13 - Dancing shoes and space stations

A leisurely day after a fair night’s sleep.  Although it was warm, we couldn’t master the air-con.  During the night, there were intermittent strange noises, from somewhere within the building, with an irregular beat and at all sorts of odd times.  Out OK and after picking up Paula’s ordered boots, a late breakfast/brunch, we headed back to the hotel, which is when I found out that the internet wasn’t full access. I could read a blog, but couldn’t publish or edit.
We then walked in the warm sunshine (yes, another 25 degree day) to the Victoria Shopping centre.  A fair walk (for us!), but on the way back, we passed Harding’s Dancewear, so we had to call in.  We emerged a few minutes later with Paula clutching another pair of dance shoes.
We called briefly on Manu, Stewart and Noah, then to Sue and Dave’s for another nice meal.  Dave has recently developed a bit of an interest in ‘space’ and had an app on his tablet, tracking the International Space Station.  (ISS)  So after ukulele practice, and whilst we were talking after dinner, the space station had just left NZ and was heading towards the west coast of South America. By 10:15pm, it would be visible from Nottingham!  And so it was.  We trooped into the garden and watched (with the naked eye) as it tracked across the sky.
By the time we arrived back at the hotel, the staff had left the A/C on and we retired to a cool room.
