Day 14 - Family time and sussing out the kart track

At this point, we decided that if we left Nottingham a day early, Paula would have time for a dance lesson with Simon. I tried to alter my Agoda booking for the Bournemouth hotel, but it defaulted from June 1st to May 27th – tonight!  Frustrating, so I emailed straightaway to get it corrected.

I dropped Paula off to spend the day with Sue and I then picked up Stewart and Noah and we headed to Morrison’s for breakfast. Obviously drivers of Alfa Romeos either can’t park or are very precious about their cars.  (See photo.)

We then wandered out to look at the indoor kart track, having failed to make a booking, using either Dave’s credit card or mine.  Very impressive.  I think we’ll be back.  Before I left, had a good look at the fastest times and they were about 39+ seconds a lap.  Something to consider.

We then went on to Brookfields so that Noah could play in the kids area (a £3 fee which I thought was a bit steep), whilst we had a drink and a natter.

On then to Sues where Paula had bought the food for the evening meal.

After watching a Glen Campbell documentary (very interesting) out to watch the ISS again - and according to Dave’s app, it was 1800kms away and over France by the time we stopped watching.  It travels at about 5miles or 8km a second.

A confusing email back from Agoda which didn’t help at all, so we have no idea at the moment whether we can arrive June 1st or not.

Good to crash out at what we would call a respectable time, not being early risers.

Incidentally, we haven’t heard yet whether or not Artur’s passport has turned up in NZ.
